Duane B. Weiner Melville, 95, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center, Chippewa Falls.

He was born February 11, 1919 in Chippewa Falls to Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) and Levi Melville.

Duane worked as a carpenter for Bill Jacobson, building houses.

Survivors include three brothers, Glen (Felice) Melville of Phillips, WI, Donald (Bonita) Melville of Wisconsin Rapids, James (Mary) Melville of Pewaukee; nieces and nephews. He was proud to have a great-niece, Jessica McCarthy; who was born on his birthday.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Naomi Lloyd, Della Melville; four brothers, Eugene, Kenneth, Phillip and John Melville.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Duane B. Weiner Melville, 95, of Chippewa Falls was held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 4 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiated and music was provided by organist, Marilyn Brace and vocalist, Peter Lea. Spring interment will be at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
