Earl W. Krause, 79, of Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 7, 1933 to Jeanette (Parker) and George Krause in the town of Hallie. He attended Oak Grove grade school and graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1951.

Earl married Donna Emerson on June 27, 1953 at Christ Episcopal Church in Chippewa Falls. They lived in the town of Hallie for a few years and then moved to Chippewa Falls for their entire marriage.

After graduating from high school he worked at Chippewa Plastics until 1967 when he went to work for Frederick & Koepl Inc, later known as Fritz Koepl Inc., where he worked until he retired in 1990.

Earl and his wife enjoyed many camping weekends in the Webb Lake area and later at Six Lakes Resort in Chetek. He made many, many friends over the years. He was also quick with a smile and a joke. He enjoyed fishing, working on his yard and flowers, going to the casinos, woodworking (making special gifts for his children and grandchildren.) He loved the Packer's and the Minnesota Twins. The last few years he enjoyed driving his Rascel scooter all over Chippewa to visit neighbors and friends. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Donna of 59 years; two sons, Rodney (Jill) Krause, Jeffrey (Darcy Laramy) Krause all of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Roxane (Brent Volkert) Hedrington of New Richmond, Linda Krause of Eau Claire, Julie (Wade) Hutton of Chippewa Falls; twelve grandchildren, Benjamin (Jen) Hedrington, Claire (Kyle) Roder, Tanya (Fred) Nave, Krista (Stephen Cornell) Krause Raymond Krause, Joshua (Nikki) Hutton, Richard (Kristin Langley) Hutton, Nicholas (Stacia) Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Jolene Anderson, Jamie Krause and Justin Krause; five step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wagner of Sheridan, WY; brother-in-law, Charles (JoAnn) Emerson of Marathon City, WI; and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arnold Krause; sister, Edna Schulz; son-in-law, J. Scott Hedrington; grandson, Aaron Hedrington; father and mother-in-law, Ole and Norma Emerson; brothers-in-law, Neal Wagner and John Schulz

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, September 14 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Nate Oldenkamp officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE:

A memorial service for Earl W. Krause, 79, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 6 p.m., Friday, September 14 at Pederson-Volker Funeral in Chippewa Falls. Chaplain Nate Oldenkamp of Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center officiated, music was provided by Sarah Boss and several people shared personal reflections.

Interment will be at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
