Earl L. "Squirrel" Walsh, 66, of Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.
He was born April 4, 1946 in Cumberland, Wis. to Martha (Bowen) and Joseph Walsh. He grew up in the area and lived in Chippewa Falls for most of his life.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann (Brett) Carey of Hudson, Tracey Jelmberg of Blaine, MN; two granddaughters, Amanda and Julia Carey of Hudson; five sisters, Arlene Finder , Marian Nerase, both of Blaine, Marybelle Walsh of North Branch, Jeanie Bergerson of Belton, MO, Julie Jelmberg of Blaine, MN; a brother, Robert (Wanda) Walsh of Stacy, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Francis Melvin Walsh.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 26 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Rick Hoyme of Central Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
Squirrel was ambitious, good-natured and made friends everywhere he went. He loved to socialize, dance, root for the Packers and lived life just the way he wanted. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
