Edward J. "Bud" Nazer, 83, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Jim Falls, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Wissota Health & Regional Venter Center in Chippewa Falls.

He was born September 4, 1929 in Bloomer to Ida (Bowe) and Edward Nazer. He was raised in Eagle Point. He served in the U. S. Army from 1950 until being honorably discharged in 1952.

Bud married Ardis Redmond on October 15, 1955 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jim Falls. He worked for Falls Dairy in Jim Falls until his retirement in 1991.

In his retirement, he enjoyed being Ardis' driver, taking her to appointments and running errands. Ed and Ardis loved going out to eat and spending time together. Over the years, they also enjoyed traveling, taking many bus trips and organized tours.

Survivors include his wife, Ardis of Jim Falls; a sister, Florence (Edward) Swatzina of Chippewa Falls; two sisters-in-law, Della Nazer of Jim Falls, Birdine Rustand of Anoka, MN; a brother-in-law, Lewellyn "Pete" Redmond of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Melinda Buchholtz, Erma Zwiefelhofer; and four brothers, Benjamin, Orville, Gordy and Gerald Nazer.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January, 10 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Military honors will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council. Interment will be in Copp Cemetery, town of Anson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral service for Edward J. "Bud" Nazer, 83, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 10 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Fr. Robert Letona officiated and music was provided by organist, Judy Brist and soloist, Deb Dresel.

Military honors were conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council and Cassie Webber bugled "Taps." Interment was in Copp Cemetery, town of Anson. Casket bearers were Mel Beck, Bruce Dressel, Roger Hutton, Brent Redmond, Terry Huppert and David Woodford.
