Ellen E. Bennett, 83, of Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

She was born December 24, 1928 in Cudahy, WI to Ada Clare (Flick) and Roy William Crandall.

Ellen married Robert C. Bennett Sr. on September 4, 1948 in Eau Claire. They lived in Eau Claire until moving to Chippewa Falls in 1977.

She was a devoted member of Chippewa Valley Bible Church, serving in many capacities over the years.

Survivors include six daughters, Barb Phephles of Chippewa Falls, Betty (Tommy) Rayder of Kingston, TN, Cindi (Jerry "Slug") Schultz of Mountain Home, AR, Sandi (Jeff Glenz) Preston of Cadott, Lora (Hugh) Fleming of Onalaska, Colleen (Mike) Stender of Marshfield; four sons, Robert "Bob" (Vicki) Bennett Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Steven Bennett Sr. of Chippewa Falls, Curt (Melissa) Bennett of Stillwater, MN, Gordy (Penny) Bennett of Eau Claire; a sister, Laura Sault of Eau Claire; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; her husband, Robert on Oct. 7, 1994.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13 at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, Chippewa Falls with Dennis Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, town of Washington.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, October 12 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
