Eric D Turner, 43, passed away at his home due to medical complications on Monday, March 10, 2025. Eric, born on March 14, 1981, was the oldest son of Rick and Cindy Turner. He grew up in Chippewa Falls, graduating from CHI-HI in 1999.
After high school, Eric worked for Markquart Chevrolet in the reconditioning shop. He always had a passion for cars. Then an opportunity came up to work with his dad at First Supply. Eric worked there for over 10 years in the shipping and receiving department before venturing into a new path at Northern Crossarm. After five years, Eric left and for a time was a stay-at-home dad helping, especially through the covid pandemic, with homeschooling and transportation of his children. In the end of 2023, Eric found a job in package delivery through Amazon of Eau Claire working part time. He enjoyed the diversity of the job and the people he would meet, but especially the animals he would encounter. He worked here until the time of his death.
He married Nicole Lyn Marten on May 24, 2003, at Notre Dame Parish in Chippewa Falls. Together, they enjoyed their children’s activities, camping, bon fires with friends and family, road trips, NY Yankee baseball, and their shows: Grumpy Old Men, Grumpier Old Men, Big Bang Theory, anything with Adam Sandler, Fixer Upper, and Ghost Adventures. Together they had 3 beautiful children who were Eric’s pride and joy. He was always doing anything he could do make them laugh and ensure they were loved. Eric is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Harold and JoAnn Taylor, Clifford and Corrine Turner, James Mayer Sr, and Phillip Marten; His Uncles’ Dan Turner, and James Mayer Jr.
Eric is survived by his wife of 21 years and love of his life, Nicole; their children and entire world, Colton, Keira and Caiden Turner; Parents, Rick and Cindy Turner; In-laws, David and Linda Marten; Brother, Chris (Trista) Turner; sister-in-law, Kimberly Marten; nieces and nephews, Shelby and Riley Baldeshwiler, Trenton and Paige McNamara, Graysen Engle and Ruger Turner; Grandmother’s, Mary Mayer and Carol Marten; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Eric will never be forgotten; those he held close he never let go of. Eric would do anything for anyone no matter what. He had a passion for animals. We often joked he was the dog whisperer. He was always the one to try to bring light to any situation and always hoping for the best. Our time together was much too short, he will be forever missed.
