Ernest Belcher

Ernest (Ernie) L. Belcher 65, of Chippewa Falls, died  Friday May 3, 2019 at his residence.

Ernest was born April 16, 1954 in Virgie, KY, the son of Kermit and Bertha (Keene) Belcher. Ernie worked as a mechanical operator for years in Illinois. He served in the Army and Navy.

Ernie was on the football and wrestling teams while in his high school years. He was an avid reader of all books. He loved to fish. Was a Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed the seasons by talking to his brother-in-law bantering back and forth about some play. He had a big heart and cared about all things.

Ernie is survived by his daughter Michelle; sisters, Louise Hunter and Pamela (Norman) Frye of Downers Grove, IL; four nephews, Timothy Hunter of Greenwich, OH, Matthew Belcher of Hodgkins, IL, Jeremy Hunter of Mt. Gilead, OH, and Donald Hunter of Chicago, IL; two nieces, Angela Pulley of Downers Grove, IL and Deborah Hunter of Lombard, IL; six great nieces; five great nephews; four great great nieces; two great great nephews; and many other family and friends.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Donald Belcher.

Services will be held in Illinois.
