Esther A. Martinek, 100, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, July 12, 2012 at Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire.

She was born April 29, 1912 in Chippewa Falls to Emma and Charles Shaffer.

Esther married Emil Martinek and they had one daughter, Gertrude. Gertrude preceded her in death on July 28, 2010.
