Eunice Ann Novotney

Eunice A. Novotney, 70, of Chippewa Falls, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire. She was born on July 7, 1954 to Eugene and Elaine (Stoehr) Novotney in Waukesha, WI. She graduated from Chippewa High School with the class of 1972.

After high school, Eunice obtained an Associate's Degree and started working for the Wisconsin DNR as a Water Regulation & Zoning Specialist, a career she held until retirement; her work started in Alaska and would eventually lead her back to Wisconsin, closer to home and family.

Eunice loved cooking, and was well-known for preparing and hosting meals that brought family together-along with a box of wine! She was an accomplished gardener, and enjoyed canning the various fruits and vegetables that she grew with love. Eunice loved to sit down with a good book or watch crime shows: CSI, Criminal Minds and Law & Order being some of her favorites. She appreciated a good bout of trivia amongst friends and so enjoyed the Trans Siberian Orchestra that she saw them live several times over the years. Most of all, Eunice loved her family and grandchildren.

Eunice is survived by her loving sons, Corey (Suzy) O'Connell of Baldwin, WI, and Chris (Jaime) O'Connell of Bloomer, WI; her grandchildren, Finley O'Connell, Avery O'Connell, Jackson O'Connell, and Kennedy Seyforth; along with all six of her siblings; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Novotney Sr., and Elaine (Stoehr) Novotney.

Per Eunice's wishes, no services will be held. Cremation will take place under the care and direction of Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services in Chippewa Falls.

In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in Eunice's name at the Chippewa Humane Society, in honor of her love for dogs.
