SERVICE:

Evan Mackenzie Wolfe, 19, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born June 29, 1994 in Milwaukee. Evan was blessed to be adopted by the Wolfe family, who took him in, made him part of their family and loved him dearly. He grew up in the town of Lafayette and attended, Southview Elementary, Chippewa Falls Middle School and Chippewa Falls High School.
Evan was born with a brain the size of a walnut. His birth mother didnt want him. She never held him and never named him. Because of his tracheostomy, his vocal cords allowed him to make no utterance whatsoever. He was unable to hold his head up, much less use his arms and legs. He was fed through a tube and had a machine to help him breathe. He had seizures, diabetes, and kidney disease. Some may ask why and to what end, to serve what purpose? Evan showed us how to communicate love with a smile instead of words. He lived to glorify God for the gift of Life he had been given. He lived to show us the magnificent power of prayer, and the tender mercies of our Lord.
Survivors include his parents, Rodney and Ellen (Johnson) Wolfe of Chippewa Falls; paternal grandmother, Angeline Wolfe of Arcadia; siblings, Kristin (Mike) Larson, Greta (Dale) Anderson, Kathryn, Heather, Renee, Jay and Lydia Wolfe, all of Chippewa Falls; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marta Rochelle Wolfe.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, September 20 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Perry Polnaszek officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral chapel.
