Frances Arnould

Frances A. “Fran” Arnould, 80, of Eau Claire, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at her home.

She was born November 16, 1937 in Eau Claire to Alice (Phillips) and Axel Hanson. She grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Senior High School, class of 1956.

Fran lived in the twin cities for many years, where she worked in area hospitals, then as an office clerk at an insurance company. Once her daughter Tracy was born, she moved back to the Chippewa Falls area, and worked at the Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in their housekeeping department for many years until her retirement.

Survivors include a daughter, Tracy of Eau Claire; a sister, Bernadine Gilles of AZ; a brother, Wayne (Nona) Hanson of Eau Claire; a brother-in-law, Elmer Sharp of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Sharp; a brother, Bill (Helen) Hanson; a brother-in-law, Bernard Gilles; and a nephew, Jason Sharp.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 9 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Robert Hoekstra, officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
