Frederick E. Mueller, 90, of Chippewa Falls, went to be home with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 30, 2013 at his home.

He was born November 5, 1923 in Superior to Edith (Erdman) and Edwin Mueller. He graduated from Superior High School in 1941.

Following high school, Fred went to work as a lineman for Bell Telephone Co. until his enlistment in the military. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1943-46.

He continued working for the telephone company, retiring in 1983, after more than 40 years of employment.

On April 11, 1943, he married Phyllis Johnson in Joplin, MO. They moved to Chippewa Falls in 1952.

Survivors include two daughters, Candice (Gregg) Wilson of Colfax, Diane (Dale) Vincent of Rosemount, MN; a daughter-in-law, Robin Mueller of Chippewa Falls; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a niece, Marcia Mueller of Issaquah, WA; and Freds special friend and loving companion, Ada Brain of Chippewa Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Phyllis on July 22, 1995; his brother, Arthur Mueller; sister-in-law, Bea Mueller; nephew, Craig Mueller; and his son, David Mueller.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Robert B. Hoekstra officiating. Interment with military honors will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE

A memorial service for Frederick E. Mueller, 90, of Chippewa Falls was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 21 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiated and music was provided by Marilyn Brace. Interment with military honors was at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
