Gary Siddons

Gary T. "Sidd" Siddons, 72, of 4400 LaSalle St., Eau Claire, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at his residence.

He was born on August 21, 1938 at the family home on E. Central St., Chippewa Falls the third of four sons along with seven daughters to Vance D. and Louise (Hoepner) Siddons.

Gary attended school in Chippewa Falls and joined the U.S. Navy in 1955. After Basic Training in Great Lakes, Ill., he was assigned to the USS Capricornus, AKA57 in Norfolk, Va., where he worked as an engineman on the ship's landing craft. During a seven country tour of duty in the Mediterranean, Gary was also a driver for the ship's captain.

Gary married Marian Karn in 1960 in Calif. and they had three children. On August 25, 1967 he married Ellen Leeper Reeves and adopted her two children and they returned to Wis.
