Gerald Clark

April 29, 1953 — October 4, 2017

Gerald “Jerry” L. Clark, 64, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at UW Hospital, Madison on Wednesday, October 4th 2017.

Jerry was born on April 29th 1953, to Ronald and Barbara (Sneen) Clark in Chippewa Falls, WI. He graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High. Jerry married the love of his life, Charlotte Anderson on October 22nd 1977 at Notre Dame Church, they were blessed with 2 children and would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at the end of this month. Jerry worked at Mason Shoe Factory for over 30 years up until his health deteriorated in 2011 and forced him into early retirement. It was in May of 2011 that he received the call he and his family had been waiting for from UW Madison, they had a match and he was able to become a grateful recipient of a lung transplant.

With the gift of a new lung he was blessed with 6 more years of life which he didn’t take for granted. He spent most of the time making memories with his family and friends, but especially his grandsons Caleb and Jacob, passing along his love for sports, fishing and golfing. His Grandsons were his world and he was theirs, in the short time he was able to spend with his Granddaughter Tatum, she had him wrapped around her little finger and just the sound of Grandpa’s voice would light up her face.

He held a special place in his children’s hearts, he was not just a Dad he was a coach, mentor, fishing guide, hunting partner and a friend. He and his sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Charlotte; son, Michael Clark of Chippewa Falls; daughter, Sara (Chris) Scheidler of Bloomer; grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob and Tatum Scheidler; father, Ronald Clark of Chippewa Falls; siblings, David (Julie) Clark of Chippewa Falls, Pam (Pete) Bowe of Chippewa Falls, Patsie (Steve) Nyseth of Chippewa Falls and Larry (Barb) Clark of Eau Claire. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Special friend and fishing buddy, Jimmy Mitchell and Cousin, Lloyd Kukuk.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara; and his paternal and maternal Grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held from 3-7 p.m. on October 12, at Ojibwa Golf and Bowl, 8140 136th St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be setup in Jerry’s name.
