Gerald "Jerry" G. Zillyette, 74, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls on Friday, May 26, 2017.

Jerry was born on October 15, 1942, to Gordon and Vivian (Bakeman) Zillyette in Chippewa Falls. He married Connie Martinek in 1965 and later divorced. In 1971, he met the love of his life, Sally Smith, and they have been together since.

Jerry had many service and labor jobs meeting many people. He always enjoyed a great conversation. He was an avid family man spending numerous hours with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Jerry enjoyed being outdoors riding his scooters, collecting clocks, and playing online poker. He was a sports fan and kept up with all sports, but most of all, he was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan.

Jerry is survived by the love of his life, Sally; daughters, Debi (Joe Wooley) Smith of Chippewa Falls and Gera (Frank) Denham of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Danielle Lequia, Lacie (LeRoy) Roby, Austin Wooley, Shawna Hyatt, Lisa Bornheim, Desirae (Ben Poirier) Denham, and Skylar Denham; great-grandchildren, Jordynn, Treyson, Haylo, Tatum, Devin, Amari, Chase, Jayce, Brennan, Connor, and Layla; uncle, Larry (Kathy) Bakeman and their family; cousin, Gary Zillyette; along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Cheryl Bornheim.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia Street, Chippewa Falls, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Aaron Sturgis will be officiating. Interment will be at Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie, Chippewa County, WI.
