Gladys E. Holman, 92, formerly of the town of Lafayette, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls.
She was born January 20, 1918 in Jim Falls at the family farm of her parents, Amanda (Hanson) and Henry Nylund. She was raised in Jim Falls, town of Anson. She was employed in Duluth, Minn. as a maid for a doctor and then moved to San Francisco and worked for the Civilian Woodworking Department of the Marine Corps. It was there that she met Arthur Holman and was married on July 12, 1947 at Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. They moved to Chippewa Falls in 1951 and resided there since that time. She was employed at the Northern Center from 1956 until retiring in 1980.
