Harold L. Hickman, 86, of Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at The Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire.

He was born February 11, 1928 in Racine to Ida (Faltzbender) and Lloyd Hickman. He grew up in the Eau Claire area and graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1946.

Harold served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Breckenridge, KY and Ft. Monmouth, NJ during the Korean Conflict from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953.

Following his military service, he lived in Chicago and worked for General Electric. In 1960, he moved to the town of Hallie and was employed at Walter Brewery in Eau Claire and at Cray Research/Control Data.

One of Harold's favorite pastimes was watching baseball, especially the Chicago White Sox. He also enjoyed cheering on the local youth teams.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Audrey Farrington.

Private services will be held with burial at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
