Harvey H. Jurgensen, 97, formerly of 1425 Perry St. Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Wissota Health in Chippewa Falls.

He was born September 26, 1916 in Milwaukee to Louise (Buffe) and Henry Jurgensen.

On May 28, 1938, Harvey married Antonia "Toni" Belak.

He owned and operated Cities Service Gas Station in Milwaukee. He then moved to Superior where he did maintenance at Chaffey Nursing Home, which his daughter, Joy owned. In 2004 Harvey moved to Chippewa Falls where he volunteered at the Rutledge Home

He is survived by a niece, Kathy (Dick) Kayser of Milwaukee; family friend, Rosella DeGroote of Elk River, MN; and special friends, Don and Darlene Sykora of Chippewa Falls.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Toni; son Harvey Jurgensen, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Jurgenson; and daughter D. Joy Jurgensen.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m, Tuesday, September 2, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Fr. Ed Shuttleworth of St. Charles Borromeo officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, town of Highland, Douglas County.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

In life, Harvey loved being with his family. After their passing, he longed to be with them in heaven. He is now at peace.

A special thank you to the entire staff at Wissota Springs Place for their care and genuine concern for Harvey during his stay there.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Harvey H. Jurgensen Sr., 97, of Chippewa Falls was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 2 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Ed Shuttleworth of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church officiated and music was provided by Judy Brist. Personal reflections were given by family friend Rosella DeGroote. Interment was at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, town of Highland, Douglas County.
