Helen M. Peck, 91, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.

She was born April 4, 1921 in Eau Claire to Rosa (Disch) and Joe Aebly. She was raised in the town of Union, Eau Claire County and the town of Hallie. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1939.

Helen attended Eau Claire Teachers College and earned a teaching certificate. She taught at the Crandell School in the town of Hallie and then at Seventh Adventist School in Altoona for seven years.

Helen married G. Richard Peck on December 26, 1942 in Eau Claire. They resided in the town of Hallie.

She resided at Wissota Springs in Chippewa Falls from 2009 to 2012.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane Dodge of Prineville, Oregon, Avis Johnson of Henderson, Nevada; two sons, David (Donna) Peck of Charlo, Montana, Ozro (Wendy) Peck of Chippewa Falls; nine grandchildren, Ramona Jones, Wade Booth, Anna Weber, Phillip, Levi and Justin Peck, Ryan, Dustin and Brandon Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Allison Jones and Bodie Weber.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, G. Richard Peck on July 4, 2001; two brothers, Jake and Gilbert Aebly.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, October 7 at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Altoona with Pastor John Strehle officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, October 6 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral service for Helen M. Peck, 91, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, was held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, October 7 at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Altoona. Pastor John Strehle officiated and music was provided by Ruth and Bruce Lo. During the service, friends and family shared personal reflections and memories. Interment was in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.

Casket bearers were Helen's grandsons, Phillip Peck, Levi Peck, Justin Peck, Ryan Johnson, Dustin Johnson, and Brandon Johnson.
