Hoover, Joanne

She was born May 28, 1933 in Chippewa Falls to Marie (Van Gemert) and H.T. Visser. She was raised in Chippewa Falls, Boyd and the town of Hallie. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1951. She was employed at Schultz Brothers and Zutter Elevators in Chippewa Falls.

Joanne married Robert D. Hoover on October 10, 1953 at First Presbyterian Church in Chippewa Falls.

Survivors include: her husband of nearly 58 years, Robert of Chippewa Falls; a daughter, Joanne (John) Ray of Chippewa Falls; a sister; Jane Loiselle of Milwaukee; two grandchildren; Julie Ray of El Cope, Panama, Jerry (Becky) Ray of Westby; a great-grandson, Jack Ray; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by: her parents; five sisters, Dorothy Malosh, Bardina Visser, Wilhelmina Bollom; Marie Knudtson, Adriana Shilts; and three brothers, Harry, Peter and William Visser.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 31 at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie, with the Rev. Rick Hoyme officiating.
