James H. Beattie, 82, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully at home on September 22, 2020.
He was born September 17, 1938, in Superior, WI to Walter and Alice (McIntyre) Beattie.
After high school he served in the U.S. Army.
“Jim”, “Jimbo”, “Clyde”, “Roy” and the list goes on...lived a full life. His stories and experiences were something that brought joy and smiles to all that surrounded him. He adored his family, friends, & his longtime passion for golf. It’s what he lived for. He called many places home; Superior, Chippewa Falls, and Las Vegas being his favorite. We will continue to celebrate him daily as he heads up his fairway in the sky.
James is survived by his children, Kim (Wayne) Schorr of Superior, WI, Mark Beattie of Hastings, MN, Kristen Tomczak of Chippewa Falls, WI and Jamie Beattie of Eau Claire, WI; grandchildren, Cole (Lainy), Chase, Jackson, Koby and Abby; siblings, Walter (Ceil) Beattie of Superior, WI and Gerard (Diana) Beattie of Eau Claire, WI; brother-in-law, Roger Vesterby of Greer, SC; his best friend Kenny Mcgrath of Las Vegas, NV; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Katherine Beattie, Madeline Vesterby, David and John Beattie; and granddaughter, Kylie Sue Schachte.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 1 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Aaron Sturgis officiating. Military Honors by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council will follow the service at the funeral chapel.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Northern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
Masks are required and appreciated by the family.
