Janice Dresel

Janice Louise Dresel (Gebhard), age 87, of Chippewa Falls, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Dove Healthcare West, Eau Claire, WI.

She was born April 14, 1930, to George and Marion (Forrester) Gebhard in Chippewa Falls, WI. She was one of five siblings.

Janice was active in the Unity Trinity Methodist Church of Chippewa Falls, as a volunteer Sunday School teacher and Methodist Youth Fellowship volunteer. She was a member of Masonic Temple #176 in Eastern Star. Janice volunteered for many years at the Salvation Army of Chippewa Falls, was employed at the Chippewa Woolen Shop and was an avid knitter, ceramist and homemaker for her family.

Janice is survived by her children, David S. (Linda) Dresel of Chippewa Falls, Kathryn (David) Spurgeon of River Falls, WI and, Steven Dresel of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Stacy (Joe) Stewig, Shannon (Jason) Berg, Brian (Nicole) Spurgeon, Jamie (Nate) Rissi, Stephany Dresel, and Sophia (Gustavo) Dresel-Mireles; great-grandchildren, Mitchell Stewig, Sydnea, Delaney and Piper Berg, Hannah and Chloe Spurgeon, Landon, Finn and Sawyer Rissi, and Logan and Hayden Dresel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; son, Greg in infancy; and former husband, Dale.

The graveside service will be at 11 AM on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Forest Hill Cemetery. Rev. Robert B. Hoekstra will be officiating.
