Janice G. Plasch, 81, of the town of Lafayette, Chippewa Falls, died Friday, January 20, 2017 at Dove Healthcare-Rutledge Home while under the care of Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice.
Janice Gail Lundeenwas born September 28, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minn. She was the daughter of Jack and Lill Lundeen. In 1948 they moved to Albia, Iowa and then in 1950 moved to Chippewa Falls, Wis., where her parents owned theCoast to Coast store.She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1953. She worked at National Presto Industries until 1960.
She married Richard Giese on June 25, 1955 in Chippewa Falls. Three daughters were born from that union, Julie, Jane and Joan. She and her husband co-owned the Falls Bowl from 1968-1976. In 1978, she was employed by Gordy's IGA until1988. Richard died August 16, 1987.
On July 22, 1988, she married Clifford Plasch. She wasa charter member of Faith Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; children, Julie (Michael) Kazukiewicz of Eagan, Minn., Jane (Mark) Anderson of Blaine, Minn.,and Joan(Tim) Riebock of Butte des Morts, Wis.; three grandchildren, Ryan Long, Rachel Sommer, and Riley Kazukiewicz; stepchildren, Colin (Sue) Plasch of Chippewa Falls, Stacey (Wayne)Loibl of Chippewa Falls, and Ryan Plasch of Cable, Wis.; step-grandchildren, Samantha Plasch and Christina and Alyssa Bichner; great-grandson, Jackson Sommer; step-great-granddaughter, Kiana Bichner; a sister, Marlene Nasset of Arden Hills, Minn.; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Donald Plasch of Washington State.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard; her parents, Jack and Lill Lundeen; granddaughter, Rebecca Lea Riebock; stepson, Kyle Plasch; and brother-in-law, David Nasset.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 24 at Faith Lutheran Church, 733 Woodward Ave., Chippewa Falls with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at the church. Pastor William Plautz will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
