Jeanette "Jan" R. (Webster) Brown, 74, of Chippewa Falls, town of Hallie, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Grace Edgewood Assisted Living in Altoona, while under the care of St. Croix Hospice.
Jan was born February 21, 1941 in Rice Lake to Orphia (Derro) and Morris Webster. She was raised in Rice Lake where she also attended school.
On December 20, 1958, she married Raymond Paulson. They lived on the family farm in New Auburn and together had four children. They later divorced.
On June 13, 1992, she married Marvin Brown at Pinehurst Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. They resided in the town of Hallie since their marriage. She was employed at Cray Computer, Phillips Plastics and Allen Bradley in Eau Claire.
Jan enjoyed fishing, especially salmon fishing on Lake Michigan; feeding and watching the birds; and dancing. Her grandchildren will always remember her great meals, especially pancake breakfasts after special sleepovers. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; daughters, Sherrie (Steve) Miles of Eau Claire, Sandra Paulson of Bloomer; sons, Dean Paulson of Eau Claire, Dennis Paulson of New Auburn; step children, Maree Brown of Eau Claire and Jeramey Brown of Chippewa Falls; sisters Katherine (John) Culver of Little Field, AZ, Cheryl (Earnie) Jones of Eau Claire; brothers, Jerome (Bridget) Webster of Hereford, AZ, Eldon (Sue) Webster of Killeen, TX; brother-in-law, Chuck Whittenberger of Ladysmith; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Veronica) Paulson, Elizabeth Bubb, Amanda Bischel and Anthony (Kim) Bischel, Brittany Paulson; step grandchild, Harrison Brown; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Pauline Ripczinski, Charlotte "Pat" Whittenberger, Gail Morgan; and a brother, Robert Webster.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 24 at Pinehurst Lutheran Church, 3304 Fern Ct., Eau Claire, with the Rev. Paul Sullivan officiating. After the service, lunch will be served followed by the interment at 2 p.m. at the Cornell Cemetery, Cornell.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jan's honor are preferred and appreciated.
