Jeanette Gunderson

Jeanette C. Gunderson, 79, Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.

She was born February 6, 1932 in Eau Claire to Caroline "Cal" (Schulner) and Lyle "Hap" Fouser.

Jeanette married Jack Gunderson on July 3, 1953 in Jackson, Minn.

She worked as a bookkeeper at Kelly Furniture for many years.

Jeanette loved to fish, especially on the Chetek chain of lakes. She also enjoyed cake decorating, knitting, bowling, and decorating for the holidays. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include: her husband Jack; three daughters, Vicky (Frank) Beaudette of Chippewa Falls, Judy (Jon) Taylor of Chippewa Falls, Jean (Mike) Johnson of Bloomer; a son John (Naomi) Gunderson of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Chuck and Elaine Gunderson of Odebolt, Iowa; ten grandchildren, Jackie (Jake) Johnson, Patrick (Kristy) Beaudette, Amanda (Brad) O'Donnell, Heidi (George) Eliopoulos, Craig (Amanda) Taylor, Adam (Kendra) Taylor, John L. (Stacy) Gunderson, Emily Gunderson, Leticia Gunderson, Tom Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren; special friend, Nellie Erickson of Chippewa Falls; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her in-laws, Vernon and Luverna Gunderson; a sister, Mary DeLong; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Gunderson.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, October 15 at Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Ann Scott and Pastor Paul Foulke, officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.

Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Afterservice

A funeral service Jeanette C. Gunderson, 79, Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, was held at 12 p.m., Saturday, October 15 at Zion United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ann Scott and Pastor Paul Foulke officiated the service and music was provided by organist, Jackie Gibbs and soloist, Firma Zais. Jeanette's grandson, Tom Johnson gave personal reflections.

Interment was in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie. Her grandchildren served as casketbearers: Jackie Johnson, Heidi Taylor-Eliopoulos, John Lyle Gunderson, Patrick Beaudette, Craig Taylor, Amanda O'Donnell, Emily Gunderson, Adam Taylor, Leticia Gunderson and Tom Johnson.
