Jeanne Ruf

Jeanne A. Ruf, 45, of Madison and formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, due to complications of cancer.

She was born February 17, 1966 in Eau Claire to Joyce A. (Taylor) and Joseph A. Ruf. She was raised in Chippewa Falls where she attended Korger-Chestnut Grade School and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1984. She then graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire as a Medical Technologist. She was then employed at Meritor Hospital-Madison for 21 years.

Jeanne's family would like to thank her special uncle, Art Taylor, for 27 wonderful years of life which he gave her with a kidney transplant. That special gift gave her the opportunity of many trips, including Disney World in Florida, where she visited her favorite Disney Character, Mickey Mouse.

Survivors include: her parents, one sister, Julie (Bill) Korger of Chippewa Falls; one brother Joel (Gloria) Ruf of Eagan, Minn.; two special nieces, Christina Korger and Nicole Ruf and one special nephew, Kyle Ruf and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by: her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Wilhelmia Ruf and maternal grandparents, Glen and Lilah Taylor.

A celebration of Jeanne's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 10 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel with Deacon Mark Arnold officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeanne's memory may be directed to the Lupus Foundation.

Afterservice

A memorial service for Jeanne A. Ruf, 45, of Madison and formerly of Chippewa Falls was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 10 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Deacon Mark Arnold officiated, music was provided by Nancy Haley and several of Jeanne's friends shared personal reflections. Interment was in Chapel of Hope Mausoleum, Chippewa Falls.
