Jeffrey Charles Alexander, 53, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Clairemont in Eau Claire after a lengthy illness.

He was born May 13, 1961 in Chippewa Falls to Dorothy (Sarter) and Charles Alexander. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1979. During his senior year of high school, Jeff served in the National Guard. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1980 until his honorable discharge in 1984. He was stationed first at Lackland AFB in Texas then at Mildenhall AFB in England.

Following his military service, Jeff worked at Amoco, Hutchinson Computers and finally worked as a truck driver. It was while driving truck that he met his future wife, Denise.

On December 25, 2011 he married Denise Dick in Willard. The two enjoyed their "cabin in the woods" in Willard and loved anything outdoors including four-wheeling and riding Jeff's Harley. Jeff also enjoyed cheering on the Packers and Brewers. He was a member of the Thorp American Legion.

Jeff was a family man and was truly proud of his children, sisters and their families. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Denise Dick-Alexander of Willard; a daughter, Taylor Alexander of Eau Claire; a son, Hunter Alexander of Elk Mound; four sisters, Patricia "Patty" (Lee) Betz of Valparaiso, IN; Rebecca (Jerry) Graham, Sandy Jensen, Kim (Steve) Wells, all of Chippewa Falls; a brother-in-law, Wayne Jensen of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, October 13 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Sturgis of Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls officiating. Private interment with military honors will take place at Bateman Cemetery, town of Lafayette.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service Monday evening at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and appreciated.
