Jeffrey T. Ojibway, 51, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born September 28, 1960 in Eau Claire to Margaret (Hanson) and Edward Ojibway. He grew up in Chippewa Falls where he attended Chippewa Falls Senior High School.

For most of his life, Jeff worked as a mechanic, and shared his talent with anyone who needed help. For the past 19 years, he carried many responsibilities for Shopper's Hotline.

He was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.

Jeff married Deborah Brion in 1994. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2010.

Jeff cherished every moment of his life. He enjoyed family, fishing, photography, and music. He especially loved to play his guitar and sing. A genuine person, Jeff made friends easily and will truly be missed by all who knew him. He will always be remembered for his bright smile and willingness to help others in need.

Jeff will be dearly missed by his two sons, Michael Ojibway of Eau Claire, Chad (Lydia) Ojibway of Eau Claire; girlfriend, Toni Eisold of Eau Claire; three sisters, Judy Ojibway, Nancy Ojibway both of Eau Claire, Dawn (Richard) Mrozinski of Chippewa Falls; four brothers, David (Brenda) of Fredricksburg, VA, Terry (Mary) of Eau Claire, Dale (Brenda) of Chippewa Falls, Daniel (Debbie) of Eau Claire; one granddaughter, Johanna; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers, Tim, Mike, Larry and Steven Ojibway; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 13 at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Rick Hoyme officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 12 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.

Jeff's greatest role in life was to be a loving father and he was most proud of his two sons and granddaughter. As a brother, his life will always be remembered and cherished for his love, support, and compassion for others.

Due to construction on Columbia St., we ask all who attend to please park in the parking lot behind the funeral home for the visitation Tuesday evening and in the parking lot on the west side of the church on Wednesday. Access to parking lots are from Willow St., one block north of Columbia St.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Jeffrey T. Ojibway, 51, of Chippewa Falls was held at 11a .m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Rick Hoyme officiated and music was provided by Christine Hitt. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Casket bearers were: Michael, Chad, Dustin, Terry, Blake, David and Ryan Ojibway.
