Jerry "Jer" L. Laramy, 76, of Chippewa Falls, died on August 20th, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Eau Claire, WI.
On March 8, 1939, Jer was born to Dr. Floyd and Norma (Mohr) Laramy in Chippewa Falls, WI. He graduated from Chippewa High with the class of 1957. Jer married Beverly Anderson in 1964 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott, WI.
In 1993, after 21 years with St. Joseph's Hospital and L.E. Phillips Treatment Center, Jer had to retire due to complications from his MS. He had a deep passion for music, all the beauties of nature, Green Bay Packers and especially his hometown which he was very proud of; but his love for his wife, his children and grandchildren was the deepest and he cherished every moment he had with them. There are so many to thank but the family would especially like to acknowledge Matt, Joe, Denny, Dr. Ippel and staff, for always being there to help. Through his illness he never lost his sense of humor and his gift to gab. A quote from a special nephew; "Jer suffered long but he loved hard."
Jer is survived by his wife, Bev; children, Jeff (Angela) Laramy of Genoa City, WI, Jodi (Matt Christiansen) Laramy of Mountain View, CA, Jacci (Todd) Berg of Chippewa Falls, and James (Brooke Scholze) Laramy of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Lexi and Tori Laramy, Kayla Laramy, and Colter and Caden Berg; a brother, Denny (Lola) Laramy of Chippewa Falls; a sister, Donna (Ken) LaNou of Jim Falls; brother-in-law, Stan Saline of Fargo, ND; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joyce Saline and Darlene Laramy; brother, Donny Laramy; an infant brother; and mother and father-in-law, Jens and Jeanette Anderson.
A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia Street, Chippewa Falls. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 201 W.
