Jill M. Link, 45, of Eau Claire, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at Marcie Cares Group Home in Eau Claire under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.

She was born October 16, 1968 in Eau Claire to Lucille (Roder) and DeWayne Link. Jill was born with cerebral palsy and epilepsy and made her home at the Central Colony, the Northern Colony, Lutheran Social Services and finally at Marcie Cares Adult Group Home in Eau Claire. She made many friends, was very lovable and good natured. She was a strong lady that never complained of pain. She had a love for music which always comforted her.

Survivors include her father, DeWayne Link of Chetek; siblings, Cheryl (Dave) Miller of Denver, Colorado, Connie (Butch) Mondeau of Eau Claire, Steve Link of Colfax, Kevin (Jodi) Link of Eau Claire, Kathy (Jay) Roland of Plant City, FL, Keith (Lanee) Link of Quail Valley, CA, Jeff Link of Eau Claire, Julie (Rick) Moen of Chetek; many nieces and nephews; and her family at Marcie Cares Adult Group Home.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille; grandparents, Edward and Elvina Roder, Louis and Bernetta Link; sister, Carolyn Link; and two aunts, Lillian Weber and Adeline Mense.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, August 28 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Rolf Nestigen of Saving Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, officiating. Interment will be in Copp Cemetery, town of Anson.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral chapel.

A special thank you to the staff at Marcie's: Marcie, Sue, Deb, Randy, Amanda, Kristin, Sarah and Nicki. And thank you to all who cared for her throughout her life.

Jill can now walk hand in hand with Mom. Upon greeting her mother in heaven, her family wonders, "What will Jill's first words be?"

AFTERSERVICE

A memorial service for Jill M. Link, 45, of Eau Claire was held at 3 p.m., Thursday, August 28, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Rolf Nestigen of Saving Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire officiated. Interment was at Copp Cemetery, town of Anson.
