Jodie L. Mueller, 49, of Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Encinitas, California after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born April 14, 1963 in Richland Center to Judy (Bonnin) and John Shemick. Jodie graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1981 and continued her education at the University of WI, Eau Claire.
On November 12, 1996, she married the love her life, Trent Mueller. They resided in Chippewa Falls where Jodie worked at West Wisconsin Distributing and bartended at the Fill-Inn Station Restaurant. For the past ten years, she had worked as the finance manager at Markquart Motors in Hallie.
Jodie enjoyed riding her Harley-Davidson Road King, traveling with her family, camping, working at Markquart Motors and spending time with her friends, family and pets.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Trent; sons, Derek and Tucker, all of Chippewa Falls; her mother, Judy (Dennis) Steinke; brother, Jon (Peggy) Shemick of Eau Claire; her twin brother, Jay (Tina) Shemick of Chippewa Falls; in-laws, Claudia (Don) Hable of Tilden, Anthony "Tony" (Alice) Mueller of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Trace Mueller of Eau Claire; brothers-in-law, Zach Mueller of Los Angeles, CA, Lance Mueller of Chippewa Falls; nieces and nephews, Turner, Dane (Megan), Justin, Cora, William, Landon and Lynsey; her special friend, Buck; and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, John.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 1 at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Rick Hoyme officiating. Burial will be Monday, December 3at 3 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday, November 30 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and may be designated to the Jodie Mueller Foundation, which will benefit single mothers in Chippewa County, c/o The Community Foundation of Chippewa County, PO Box 153, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
AFTERSERICE
A funeral service for Jodie L. Mueller, 49, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Rick Hoyme officiated and music was provided by Christine Hitt, Matt Koxlien, Ann and Molly Dobbs and Jodie's son, Tucker Mueller played the piano.
Casket bearers were Turner Woods, Dane, Justin, Cora and William Shemick, Landon and Lynsey Mueller. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
