SERVICE
12 p.m., Saturday, June 21 at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, 531 E. South Ave., Chippewa Falls.
John P. Ramharter, 46, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 after fighting a tough battle with depression.
He was born September 6, 1967 in Chippewa Falls to Shirley (Turecek) and James Ramharter. He was raised in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1987. He then graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College with a degree from their Electrical Mechanical Program. He worked for Phillips Plastics in Eau Claire for 25 years.
John married Dawne Kurtz on February 6, 1993. Together they had two beautiful daughters.
John's world was his three girls, Dawne, Karlie and Morgan. Although his life on this earth ended early, the memories they made as a family will be cherished forever. Whether they were playing ball, camping, 4-wheeling or John was cuddling with his girls during family night, his world was complete.
John's love for hunting and being in the outdoors with his brothers was time he also cherished. His parents and siblings were so important to him.
We may not understand but we know John was a hero to everyone he loved and everyone that loved him. More importantly, he is now a hero in heaven.
Survivors include his wife, Dawne; two daughters, Karlie "Bean", Morgan "Mudge" all of Chippewa Falls; his parents, James and Shirley Ramharter of Chippewa Falls; a sister, Susan (Robert) Way of Minocqua; two brothers, James (Sandra) Ramharter, Wade (Joyell) Ramharter all of Chippewa Falls; a sister-in-law, Laurie (Lee) Douglas of Chippewa Falls; his father and mother-in-law, William and Ardell Kurtz of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, June 21 at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, Chippewa Falls with Pastors Alan Dunham and Jim Wolhuis officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and will go towards an education fund for his daughters.
