Jonathan M. Jorgensen, 36, of Eau Claire, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 27, 2017, in a car accident.

Jon was born April 17, 1981, in Riverside, Calif. to Charles Jorgensen and Karin Lange. He grew up in Minneapolis, Minn. and moved to Menomonie, Wis. during his teenage years. Later he moved to Eau Claire where he currently resided.

He had fun and made friends wherever he went. His positive energy was contagious and people were drawn to him. Jon was always willing to try new things and really live life to its fullest. He was generous with his time and enjoyed helping people whenever he could. Some of the things he particularly enjoyed were movies, video games, parties and playing basketball.

Jon is survived by his mother, Karin Morrow of Goldsboro, N.C; father, Charles Jorgensen of Centuria, Wis.; daughter, Jasmine Ann-Marie Jorgensen (14); son, Damien Michael Jorgensen (11); three sisters, Sarah Marie Jorgensen, Emily Ann Jorgensen, andAmanda Morrow; and brother,Steve Morrow.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Ray Lange and his uncle, Stephen Xavier Samson.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 2 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E Columbia St., Chippewa Falls. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
