Juanita M. Taylor, 89, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Our House Memory Care in Chippewa Falls surrounded by her family, while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.
She was born May 8, 1924 in Chippewa Falls to Margaret (Jessen) and Henry Hoepner.
Juanita married Alvin F. Taylor on February 12, 1953 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.
Juanita loved horses and cared for her own horse until she was 80 years old. She enjoyed traveling with her children and grandchildren, visiting many states and was proud that she was able to place her hands in both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
She was a strong Christian and lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, teaching Sunday School over 20 years and attending bible study regularly.
She is survived by three sons, Jon (Judy) Taylor, Steven (Patricia) Taylor, Paul (Tamara) Taylor; two daughters, Kathy Likar, Mariann (Larry) Seidlitz; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of Chippewa Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin on February 27, 1985; son-in-law, Jeff Likar; three sisters, Frieda Bathke, Loretta Lee, and Florence Olson; four brothers, Otto, Nick, Alfred and Arnold Hoepner.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 3 at Zion Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. T. Clinton Stark officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie.
Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m., Monday, December 2 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
AFTERSERVICE
A funeral service for Juanita M. Taylor, 89, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 3 at Zion Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. T. Clinton Stark officiated and music was provided by Chuck Hall. Interment followed at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie. Casket bearers were Justin, Craig, Kevin, Nathan, Adam and Austin Taylor, David Likar, Brady Seidlitz and George Eliopoulos. Honorary bearers were Heidi Eliopoulos, Sara Hakes, Courtney Gasper and Ashley Likar.
