Judith A. Campbell, 73, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 29, 1940 in Eau Claire to Ruth (Brick) and Glen Johnson. She grew up in Eau Claire and attended Eau Claire High School.
On November 17, 1956, Judy married Calvin Campbell and they treasured 57 years of marriage. They resided in the Hallie/Chippewa Falls area all of their lives.
Judy enjoyed spending time with her family. She had many interests including reading, flower gardening, shopping for good sales, and hitting the thrift sales with her sister, Sally. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed her lefse. Her grandkids would say she really knew how to pack a gift box, always making sure they had the essentials and lots of fun stuff. She always did things her own way. She had a feisty and loving personality and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin of Chippewa Falls; her mother, Ruth Johnson of Chippewa Falls; sons, Mike (Mary), Dan (Mary) both of Chippewa Falls, and Scott (Patti) of Eau Claire; sisters, Pat (Gary) Gunderson of Eau Claire, Sally Pitts of Chippewa Falls, Nancy (Dick) Sparks of Eau Claire; brothers, Kenneth "Butch" Johnson of Eau Claire, Dick Johnson of Bloomer; grandchildren, Erin (David) Schueller, Elaine, Michael Jr., Matthew, Johnathan and Ryan Campbell; great-granddaughter, Simone Schueller; and Schueller baby-to-be arriving in March.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Johnson; a brother, Don Johnson; sister-in-law, Delores Johnson; brother-in-law, Robert Pitts; her grandson, Elliot Campbell, and her Yorkshire Terrier, Dusty.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, January 26 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
