Julia Marie Maier

Julia Marie Maier, 68, of Chippewa Falls, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Cornell Health Services in Cornell, WI.

On March 24, 1956, Julia was born to George and Beverly (Ziebell) Maier in Bloomer, WI. She attended Jim Falls primary schools and later Chi-High School. Julia worked for CDC and CRI Industries for most of her life.

Julia loved to color and was exceptionally good at creating colorful artwork within her coloring books. She loved to see people and always welcomed a visitor, especially her nieces and nephews. Julia will be most remembered for her joyous countenance and resilient spirit—over the years she dealt with numerous health challenges and would always “bounce back” with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She was truly loved by all who knew her. 

Julia is survived by her siblings, Connie Christensen of Eau Claire, Ben (Carla) Maier of Cornell; her sister-in-law, Judy Maier; aunts and uncles; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Beverly Maier; and two of her siblings, Dan Maier, and Vicky Selzler.

According to Julia’s wishes, a cremation will take place, and a graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Eagleton Cemetery, 15144 145th St, Bloomer, WI 54724. 

Thank you to the Cornell Care Center for taking exceptional care of Julia while she was there, she loved living there, the staff were considered family to Julia.
