Julie Ann (Rubenzer) Rydlund, 53, of Jim Falls died peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Julie was born on Feb. 19, 1961 in Chippewa Falls to Jerry and Belinda (Bell) Rubenzer. She graduated from McDonell Central High School in 1979 and graduated from Viterbo University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing in 1983. For most of her career, she worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

On October 27, 1984, she married James Rydlund at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire.

Julie was known for her courage and faith even when faced with impossible odds, her love of family and friends, her concern for others and her passion for telling stories.

Julie is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter Katie (James) Plendl; son Andrew; step-daughter Carrie (Monte) Abbiehl; step-son Dan (Amy); mother Belinda Rubenzer; father Jerry (Donna) Rubenzer; brothers Tom (Becky) Rubenzer, Greg (Carla) Rubenzer, Erv (Becky) Rubenzer; sisters, Pat Rubenzer and Wanda (Bob) Martell; step-sister Dawn (Brett) Cox; step-brother Jimmy (Karen) Soley; grandchildren, Brendan, Hannah, Camryn, Dylan, Grant and Emma; many nieces and nephews.

Julie's family wishes to thank Dr. Dickson of Marshfield Clinic and Julie's care team at Mayo Clinic Health System, especially Dr. Maierhofer and the dialysis staff, for their compassionate care

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 16 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls with the Very Rev. Ed Shuttleworth celebrating the funeral Mass.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. The Ladies of St. Charles will recite the rosary at 4 p.m., Friday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral Mass for Julie Ann (Rubenzer) Rydlund, 53, of Jim Falls was held on Saturday, August 16 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Ed Shuttleworth celebrated the Mass, assisted by Rev. William Felix, Rev. Alan Wierzba, Rev. David Burns, Rev. Justin Kizewski; Deacon Tom Kinnick; and seminarians, Daniel Williams, Louis Floeder, Sam McCarty, Tim Reither, Brandon Guenther, Dan Thelen, Ethan Hokamp, Levi Schmitt, and Daniel Sedlacek. Scripture was read by Diane Horn and Pat Rubenzer; giftbearers were Danielle, Kayla, Kaitlyn and Nolan Rubenzer. Music was provided by organist Jerry Boorsma, vocalist Amanda Tanzer and the St. Charles Choir.

Entombment was in the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum in Chippewa Falls and casket bearers were Zach Meinen, Sam, Jake and Ben Rubenzer, Nate, Jarrod and Brandon Martell.

The ladies of St. Charles recited the rosary during the visitation Friday evening at the funeral chapel.
