Kathleen Ann (Anglum) Johnson, age 75, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday July 10, 2018.
Kathleen was born February 2, 1943 in Chippewa Falls to Ruth E. (Nowlin) and James P. Anglum. She grew up in a military family living all over the U.S., from Alaska to Washington D. C. They eventually settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado where Kathleen graduated from Roy J. Wasson High School, class of 1961.
On December 4, 1960 she married her high school sweetheart, E. Douglas Johnson in New Mexico. The couple resided in Colorado Springs where Kathleen focused on family and worked as a librarian for Pikes Peak Library District. Her interest in early childhood development eventually resulted in teaching preschool for many years in the Springs. In 1990, they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where she continued to work in education until her retirement.
In 2006, Kathleen and Doug moved back to her hometown of Chippewa Falls, where they enjoyed their retirement attending Friday night fish fries and dancing, one of the couple’s favorite activities. She was an avid sports fan and loved listening to music. She enjoyed writing poetry, publishing a poem in her earlier years.
Kathleen was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Spending her life supporting her family with lots of love. Always there to ensure her children realized their potential, pushing them to achieve their dreams and desires. Kathleen was always one of the first people family and friends would reach out to, they knew they would receive unconditional love and support
