Kenneth R. Goercke

Kenneth R. Goercke, 67, of Golden Valley, MN, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at Methodist Hospital in Saint Louis Park, MN.

He was born April 6, 1956, in Chippewa Falls, to Richard and Lorraine (Sippel) Goercke. On April 30, 1982 he married Cynthia Przybylski. Kenny loved spending time outdoors and with his family. He could often be found cheering on the Packers, fishing, or on the lake at the family cabin. He served proudly in the US Army Reserves, and as an Army Calvary Scout from 1975-79. 

Kenny is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cynthia; children, Justin (Maria Rodriguez) Goercke, Shaun (Victoria Sunberg) Goercke, and Sarah (Zachary) Whittier; grandchildren, Eva Goercke, and Lucas, Ashley, and Alicia Goercke; mother, Lorraine Gourley; and sisters, Karen (Dan) Bushland, and Brenda Goercke. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Goercke; step-father, Dale Gourley; paternal grandparents, Robert “Bob” and Edith Goercke; and maternal grandparents, Alvin and Ida Sippel.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Interment with Military Honors will follow at noon at Prairie View Cemetery, Lake Hallie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
