He was born December 12, 1935 in Eau Claire to Agnes (Burtness) and Franklin L. Jackson.
On August 1, 1970, Buck married Betty Raether in Reno, NV. They spent 46 years happily married. He was formerly married to Frances Baker and Yvonne Thompson, which resulted in divorce.
Buck worked at his father's fruit stand, Jackson Fruit on Joles Parkway, for many years. He also owned and operated Empire Bar & Lounge in Chippewa Falls, where he was known for bringing country music to the area in the 50's and 60's. During this time, he brought many big names in country music to play in his bar, including Tammy Wynette, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings, to name a few.
In the early 1970's, he worked as an off road truck driver for Kennecott Copper Mines. He then owned and operated Hallie Liquor Store for over 25 years until the business was closed due to a fire.
He and Betty then moved to Lake Holcombe, where they enjoyed lake life until moving back to Hallie in 2014, due to poor health. He was a longtime member of the Eagle's Club in Hallie.
Buck was a very caring and loving man to his wife and family, and is leaving them with many happy memories. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty of Lake Hallie; six children, Vicki Martinez, Katherine "Katy" (Tory) Toraason, all of Eau Claire, Patrick Jackson of Jim Falls, LaMoyne E. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and appreciated.
