Larry D. Martineau

Larry D. Martineau, 88, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake, due to complications from a bad fall. 

He was born September 23, 1936, in Chippewa Falls to Donald and Lorraine (Fliehr) Martineau. Larry graduated from McDonell High School in 1954, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1957.

On December 20, 1958, he married Eileen Ricksford at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. In 1961, he graduated from UW Eau Claire with a bachelor of science degree, and owned his own accounting business in Chippewa Falls for 45 years. 

Larry loved being outdoors and watching all sports. Over the years, he participated in and played most sports himself.

Larry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eileen; daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Carlos of Tucson, AZ; son, Mike Martineau of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Marisa (Tim Broom) Carlos, Christina (Evan) Spencer, Daniela Carlos, Matthew Martineau, and Joseph Martineau; great-grandchildren, Zinnia and Sage Carlos-Broom, Hadley and McKenna Spencer; sister, Donna (Richard) Geissler; brothers, Mark (Chris), Steve (Rae), and Richard (Judy); sisters-in-law, Judy (Bruce) Burns and Donna (Gary) Linhart; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert (Brenda); sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Kathy; and nephew, Christopher.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Michael Gorman officiating. 

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
