Leo E. Schulz

Leo E. Schulz, age 86, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at home surrounded by family and under the care of St. Croix Hospice. 

He was born to Reinhart and Sylvia (Beaudoin) Schulz on January 6, 1938, in Chippewa Falls.

On June 20, 1959, he married Cynthia Smith at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. 

For 30 years Leo worked for the Chippewa Falls Fire Department, retiring at Captain in June of 1991. While working full time for the fire department he also worked for Pevan Transfer and Knights Transfer, as well as processed meat with family and friends.

Leo enjoyed fishing, traveling with Cindy and going to flea markets, antiquing, and casino trips.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Cindy; daughters, Lynn Schulz of Chippewa Falls and Lisa (Peter) Martin of Holmen, WI; grandchildren, Mathias (Courtney) Martin, Allison (Kyle) Conrath, Ross Martin, Noah Mutter-Schulz, and Elijah (Molly) Mutter; great-grandchildren, Bronson Martin, Gray and Miles Conrath, and Richie and Leo Mutter; sister, Ruth “Bunny” Beaudette; brother-in-law, Quentin (Linda) Smith; sister-in-law, Marji (Art) Hendel; and many other relatives and friends. 

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregory Schulz; brothers, Edward (Millie), John (Edna), Richard (Judy) Don “Tick” (Darlene); sisters, Bernice (Jim) Martin, Fern (Tom) Eder, and Lillian (Lloyd) Johnholtz; and brother-in-law, Bill Beaudette. 

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Pastor Kameshia Stokes Thomas officiating. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.

Entombment will be at the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum, Chippewa Falls.
