Lester Schrader

Lester Schrader, age 93, of Chippewa Falls died Monday, May 6, 2024 at Dove Healthcare-West in Eau Claire, under the care of Mayo Hospice. 

He was born March 7, 1931, in Wauwatosa, to Myrtle L. (Muehl) and Richard J. Schrader. He moved to Chippewa Falls with his parents at the age of 7. In 1942 Lester moved to Chicago, Illinois and was employed by the Central Can Company for 6 years. 

Lester entered the U.S. Army on Nov. 26, 1951, serving in Virginia and Fort Carson, Colorado. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 25, 1953.

He was employed for M.I. Nakin Wood Co. in Chicago from January 1955 until 1981, then at Replogle Globe Co. before retiring in 1991, and returning to Chippewa Falls in 1992.

Lester is survived by his sister, Shirley Mitoraj; niece, Kathy Werremeyer; cousin, Cheri Fleischman; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Richard; and brothers, Robert E. and Kenneth G. Schrader.

A private family burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
