Lois Harling

Lois M. Harling, 84, of 8048 223rd St., Cadott, town of Goetz and formerly of 909 W. Elm St., Chippewa Falls, died Monday evening, August 1, 2011 at her residence under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 11, 1927 in Chippewa Falls to Esther (Larson) and George Harck. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1945.

Lois married Raymond E. Harling on June 4, 1947 at St. Charles Rectory in Chippewa Falls. They resided in Chippewa Falls after their marriage.

She was employed at the Northern Center in food service for 27 years, until her retirement.

Survivors include: five daughters, Deborah Spry of Madison, Christine (Tom) Stary of Cadott, Loann (David) Sumner of Fall Creek, Claire (Philip) Dreis of Madison, Kyle Harling of Eau Claire; a son, Raymond G. (Barbara) Harling of Chippewa Falls; three sisters, Jeannine Willi of Bloomer, Barbara (Don) Dachel of Chippewa Falls, Myrna (Bob) Garnett of Adams-Friendship; ten grandchildren, Elise (Jim) Gilmer, Alexis (Emil Hoelter) Spry, Tracey (Mark Goettl) Bresina, Becky (Brian) Anderson, Garret (Nicole) Bresina, Jamie (Shawnna) Bresina, Becky Jo (Dr. Joseph) Eaton, David Sumner, Matthew Dreis, Michael Dreis; seven great-grandchildren, Daniel, Emma, Nicholas and Lilly Bresina, Kristin and Olin Anderson, Linden Spry and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by: her parents, her husband, Raymond on February 1, 2004 and a grandson, David Lee "Davey" Harling.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 5 at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Rick Hoyme officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m., Friday until the time of the service at the church.

Afterservice

A funeral service for Lois M. Harling, 84, of Cadott, town of Goetz, formerly of Chippewa Falls was held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2011 at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Rick Hoyme officiated and music was provided by Christine Hitt.

Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket bearers were: Tom Stary, David Sumner, Michael Dreis, Garret, Jamie and David Bresina.
