Lois Willi

Lois E. Willi, 83, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 after a five year battle with cancer, beating the odds of a grim prognosis in 2005, which was considered a miracle by her doctors.

She was born May 23, 1926 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Elfrieda (Hansen) and Art Durch. She grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from McDonell High School in 1943.

Following high school, Lois worked at the Chippewa Woolen Mill and Chiptronics.

She married Robert Willi on June 2, 1947 at Notre Dame Parish in Chippewa Falls. She made a home for their family and can be commended and credited for raising five Willi boys.
