Loraine Emma Hazel Lorie Fenno, 97, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Milwaukee, beloved wife of the late Attorney Robert R. Fenno, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls.
She was born November 8, 1916 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Ida (Krueger) and Frederick Hardtke.
On April 13, 1940, Lorie married Robert R. Fenno. They resided in Milwaukee where they raised their three children. Robert preceded her in death on January 23, 1996. In 2003, Lorie moved to Chippewa Falls to be near family.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan (James) Fedkenheuer of Baraboo; two sons, James R. Fenno of Chippewa Falls, Will Fenno of Sharon, New Hampshire; a sister, Letitia Lueneburg of Mountain Home, Arkansas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Gertrude Sue Ott, Anita Schwartz; a brother, Fred Hardtke; and a daughter-in-law, Jane Fenno.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 12 at the Chippewa Manor Chapel of the Resurrection with the Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee.
Visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service Saturday at the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Chippewa Manor Chapel of the Resurrection, or to the charity of your choice.
