Lorraine C. Anderson, 87, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

She was born April 2, 1926 in Trego, the oldest of six children born to Mary Ellen (Barrett) and Keith Cronk. She grew up in Trego and graduated from Cornell High School.

On November 6, 1944, she married Fred Pitsch Anderson at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell. They resided in Cornell until moving to Chippewa Falls in 1972, where Lorraine worked as a nurse's aide at the Northern Center for 23 years.

Lorraine loved gardening, knitting, crocheting and visiting with people. She was a 4H leader and taught CCD for many years at Holy Cross in Cornell.

Survivors include her children, Barbara (Daniel) Rufledt, MaryAnn (Kenneth) Oie, William Anderson, Robert Anderson, Richard (Smriti) Anderson, Margaret (Rick) Lueck; grandchildren, Kenneth (Shonna) Oie, Michele (Christopher) Kirkpatrick, Nicole (Ryan) Steinmetz, KariAnn Oie, Patrick (Shelly) Rufledt, Leah (AC) Anderson, Mark (Kerre) Oie, April Lueck, Kristine (Aaron) Graves, Alex Anderson, Paul (Sarah) Rufledt, Jonathan Lueck, Adam (Haley) Anderson, Ethan Anderson; great-grandchildren, Jonah Steinmetz, Cameron, Victoria, Ella and Olivia Oie, Wiley and Sawyer Rufledt, Griffin Oie, Callie Graves, Cupcake Rufledt; siblings, Keith (Joyce) Cronk, MaryJo "Tiny" (Bill) Cronk, Alan (Judy) Cronk, Michael (Sandy) Cronk; many nieces and nephews; "adopted children" Dave Manthei, Jim Richards, Beth Geis and Deb Leaveck: and her best friend Pieper

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; sons, Fred Patrick "Pat" and Keith Mark Anderson; her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Margaret (Stafford) and Fred Anderson; brothers, Robert "Butch" and William Cronk; brothers-in-law, Jack and William Anderson, Hans Thon; sisters-in-law, Carole Cronk, Molly and Irene Anderson, and Jean Thon; grandsons, Michael and Christopher Oie; and "adopted son" Tim Leaveck; and many animal friends.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 5 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls with Msgr. Mark Pierce officiating. Interment will be at Cornell Cemetery, Cornell.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, February 4 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Lorraine C. Anderson, 87, of Chippewa Falls was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 5 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls. Msgr. Mark Pierce was celebrant of the funeral Mass and was assisted by Mass server Christian Ruf. Music was provided by Judy Brist and readings were given by sons-in-law, Daniel Rufledt and Rick Lueck. Interment was in Cornell Cemetery. Casket bearers were Kenny and Mark Oie, Patrick and Paul Rufledt, Alex, Adam and Ethan Anderson and Jon Lueck.
