Lorraine Devine

Lorraine A. Devine, 91, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Homeplace of Stanley in Stanley.

She was born July 4, 1918 in Menomonie to Martha (Tietz) and Albert Olson. She was raised in Knapp and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1936. She attended Beauty/Cosmotology School in Minneapolis. She married Robert Robinson in 1938 in Minneapolis. They moved to Chippewa Falls in 1940 and were later divorced.

Lorraine married James Devine on August 18, 1955 in Stillwater, Minn.

She was employed at Olson's Cafe, Reiter's Steak House and Empire Cafe. She was then employed at the Northern Center from 1958 until transferring to Southern Colony in Union Grove in 1961. She transferred back to the Northern Center in 1978 until her retirement in July 1986.
