Louis G. Nazer, 82, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home.

He was born on March 13, 1932 in Chippewa County to Katherine (Rothbauer) and Louis Nazer.

On November 14, 1961, Louis married Maxine Oleson. They resided in Chippewa Falls where Louis worked for Chippewa Shoe, then at CT Film for over 40 years until his retirement. Maxine recently passed away on October 9 of this year.

Louis was a sports fanatic. He played baseball most of his life. He played on the local "Old Timer" team well into his 70's. He loved watching the Packers and the Badgers and if they weren't playing, he would attend local games. He enjoyed going out to eat where he would find like-minded sports fans to discuss teams and past games over a cup of coffee. Louis also enjoyed listening to polka music.

He will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Michelle Nazer and Becky Gabert, both of Chippewa Falls; brothers, Raymond (Barb) Nazer of Milwaukee, Francis (Janis) Nazer of Chippewa Falls; two granddaughters, Tabatha Gabert, Josie Nazer and a great-grandchild, Acadia Gabert.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Maxine; and four sisters, Philomene Nazer, Ellen Kienholz, and two in infancy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 22 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, with Rev. Aaron Sturgis of Central Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Louis G. Nazer, 82, of the village of Lake Hallie, was held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 22 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Aaron Sturgis of Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls officiated. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls and casket bearers were Becky and Tabitha Gabert, Joe Hinojosa, Josie and Bill Nazer and Travis Kienholz.
