Louise Jane Ewald, 83, of 509 Terrill St., Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday evening, May 11, 2011 at Fall Creek Valley Care Center in Fall Creek.
She was born to Adela (Kaiser) and Harold Albee in Brandon, Wis. on November 3, 1927. She was raised in the communities of Brandon, Waupon, Ripon and Markesan, Wis.
Louise graduated from Markesan High School in 1945.and then worked in an office in Milwaukee for a year.
Louise married Donald Ewald in Fairwater, Wis. on June 29, 1946 and from this union four children were born.
Louise worked for the State of Wis. for nearly 15 years at Mendota State Hospital. She worked as a Ward Secretary in the Word Processing Center and at the switchboard.
From a young girl on, Louise used her musical talents in serving churches and organizations. She played piano, organ, flute, sang in choirs and played bells and chimes. She enjoyed writing poetry to friends on special occasions and kept a journal of memories in poetry.
Left to mourn are her husband, Donald; three children, Paula (Paul) Creasey of Port Angeles, Wash., Lynne (Michael) Gaskill of Kirkland, Wash., Kevin Ewald of Oshkosh; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, one sister, Margaret Ruth Borchardt and one son, Gary Ewald on January 4, 2004.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14 at Zion United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls with Rev. Ann Scott officiating. Interment will be in Markesan Memorial Park Cemetery in Markesan, Wis.
Friends may call from 12, noon until the time of the service Saturday at the church.

A funeral service for Louise J. Ewald, 83, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Zion United Methodist Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Ann Scott officiated and music was provided by organist, Jackie Gibbs and vocalist, Doug Parker.
